Your privacy matters to Aurique. This notice explains the information involved when you browse our storefront, place an order or contact us, and how it may be used to provide and protect our services.
When you place an order, request support or otherwise interact with Aurique, information you provide may include your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, order details and the contents of communications you send to us. Only information reasonably needed for the relevant service should be requested.
The storefront uses browser storage on your device to keep your shopping bag and saved-piece preferences available between visits. These features store storefront identifiers and product selections locally in your browser. Clearing your browser storage can remove them. Aurique may also receive ordinary technical information associated with visits and requests to the website through its hosting and commerce providers.
Aurique currently uses Shopify services for product commerce and hosted checkout. When you proceed to checkout, information required to complete your purchase is processed through Shopify and the payment methods made available there. Shopify may process contact, shipping, billing, transaction, device and shopping-activity information in connection with its services.
Aurique’s custom storefront does not collect or store complete payment-card numbers. Payment credentials are entered into and processed by Shopify’s hosted checkout and the applicable payment provider, such as the card network, Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or another option displayed at checkout. Those providers process information under their own privacy terms and security controls.
Information may be used to process and fulfil orders; provide shipping and order updates; respond to questions or support requests; address damaged, defective or incorrect orders; maintain transaction and business records; prevent or investigate fraud, abuse and security incidents; improve the storefront and customer experience; and meet legal, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations.
Aurique may share information with service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate the store and fulfil a customer request. Depending on the transaction, these can include Shopify, payment processors, hosting and security providers, shipping carriers, and professional or technical service providers. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or to protect legal rights, customers, the business or the security of the services.
The development storefront is delivered using Cloudflare infrastructure. Like other hosting and security providers, Cloudflare can process technical request and network information needed to deliver, protect and operate web services. If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, it is designed as privacy-first website measurement and does not use cookies or localStorage to identify individual visitors for analytics.
Aurique will keep tracking technologies limited to those needed for storefront functionality, security, commerce and any analytics or marketing services that are actually enabled. Some providers may use cookies or similar technologies as part of their services. Where consent or another privacy control is required by applicable law, the appropriate control should be presented. This policy should be updated if Aurique later adds materially different advertising, analytics or tracking technology.
Aurique will not treat placing an order as automatic consent to unrelated promotional email or text marketing. Where Aurique offers marketing subscriptions, customers should be able to choose whether to subscribe and can use the unsubscribe method provided with those communications. Transactional messages relating to an order or customer-service request are separate from promotional marketing.
Personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing customer service, maintaining order and transaction records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud and meeting legal, tax, accounting or regulatory requirements. Different records may therefore have different retention periods.
Aurique’s technology, commerce, payment and delivery providers may process or store information in Canada, the United States or other jurisdictions in which they or their service providers operate. Information processed outside your province or country may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
Aurique uses service providers and technical safeguards intended to protect customer information and limits the custom storefront from handling complete payment-card data. No method of Internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed completely secure, so customers should also protect their account, device and communication credentials.
Depending on where you live and the circumstances, privacy law may provide rights relating to your personal information, such as requesting access or correction, withdrawing consent where consent is the basis for processing, or requesting deletion subject to legal and operational retention requirements. To make a privacy request, contact Aurique and provide enough information for us to identify and respond to the request securely.
Aurique may update this Privacy Policy when the storefront, service providers, business practices or legal requirements change. The version presented on the customer-facing storefront should be reviewed whenever materially new data collection, analytics, advertising, customer-account or administration features are introduced.
